I’m a food obsessive.

Eating, shopping, the politics of it, growing, cooking, what’s your favourite ingredient, last meal in the world ever, best meal in the world ever, kitchen gadget/item you can’t live without, you name it.
Really all parts of it, and I think, absolutely everything associated with grub, nosh or tucker.

I like my sister’s question too: If the house was about to burn down, what book would you grab (cookbook of course, but any could apply here I think)?

Love it.

I have actually been timed, to see how long it takes, after meeting  friends or family members, until I mention food.

Unless we’re talking about music.

But mostly food.

Ever since I was a small boy I’ve cooked. My Mother comes from the read-a-recipe-book school, my Dad from the open-the-fridge-and-see-what-we-can-make-school.

I’m a bit of both.

I’ve been cooking professionally for over 16 years and I thought it was time to take a break. Eat, cook, laugh, share with friends & family. Which, to a professional chef is pretty unfamiliar territory.

I hope you enjoy my journey.
